GENERAL

The security of your personal information is of upmost importance to us. At dragonfly id, we commit to safeguarding the Personal Information we collect from you.

The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”) is a federal law which, generally speaking, sets out the ground rules for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information in the course of commercial activities. Some provinces have also established similar type legislation. Our privacy policy and our compliance with all applicable privacy legislation is part of our service commitment to you.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the Personal Information of our employees, our Service Partners, consultants or other individuals assigned to dragonfly id, or to any information that is not Personal Information.

“Personal Information” is information that specifically identifies you as an individual. In the course of becoming a dragonfly id member, the type of Personal Information that we may collect from time to time includes your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, username and credit card billing information. It is always your choice whether or not to provide us with your Personal Information, however, a decision to withhold certain Personal Information may prevent us from providing our services to you.

ACCOUNTABILITY

dragonfly id is responsible for Personal Information under its care or control and has designated a Chief Privacy Officer who must ensure compliance with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Personal Information may be collected through your completion of Membership enrollment with dragonfly id through our website, through your voluntary disclosure and subscription to our news & updates, use of our services, by means of surveys, entry to a contest or other promotion or through third party partners, agents, contractors, vendors or suppliers who provide services to us ("Service Providers").

We collect, use and/or disclose your Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. to create and maintain a Membership account;
  2. to communicate with you regarding the services and to respond to your requests and inquiries;
  3. to process payments and notification of expiring credit cards;
  4. to detect and protect against error, fraud, theft and other illegal activity;
  5. to inform you of news updates surrounding dragonfly id, identity theft and restoration services;
  6. to provide you with newsletters and marketing materials surrounding identity theft and restoration services;
  7. to create statistics about our business which we may share with appropriate third parties;
  8. to review website traffic patterns, site usage and related site information. None of the statistics or website usage information would contain any information that could identify you personally;
  9. to organize and administer surveys;
  10. to meet legal requirements; and/or
  11. for any other purpose for which you otherwise give your consent.

At times, we may transfer your Personal Information to Service Providers acting on our behalf for purposes mentioned in this Policy. We take reasonable steps to ensure your Personal Information is treated in an appropriate and secure manner.

Your consent may be express or implied depending on the circumstance and applicable laws. Any electronic communication that we send you, whether on our behalf or on our behalf from our Service Providers, will include instructions on how to unsubscribe from any such future communications. ACCURACY AND ACCESS

We use reasonable efforts to ensure that your Personal Information is kept as accurate, complete and up-to-date as possible. We do not routinely update your Personal Information, unless necessary. In order to help us maintain and ensure that your Personal Information is accurate and up-to-date, please inform us as soon as possible of any changes. These changes can be facilitated by you through the “My Account” section of the Members portal website by logging in with your username and password, or by contacting our customer support team at info@dragonflyid.ca.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

dragonfly id reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any such changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting. You may determine when this Policy was last updated by referring to Updated Date reflected at the outset of this Policy.

We recommend you check this Privacy Policy on our site periodically and we will take reasonable measures to advise affected individuals of any material changes either through the email address provided to us or by placing a prominent notice on our website.
